- I have been teaching at SPCC since 2004. I love interacting with students everyday and working with my peers. I also love playing and coaching basketball, playing baseball, and golfing. I love being spontaneous and riding the wave of life where it takes me. I am also very proud to have the best wife, duaghter, and a brand new edition on the way in September. My parents are a driving force in who I have become and throughout my life I have had the best friends around me who love me for who I am. God has guided me in many ways that have turned into miracles.

day 3/log 3: alright, well... I'm not gonna lie.. I'm not gonna have any breakfast today... I feel sick and it's not because I'm hungry. I just don't feel good. I'm disappointed that I'm making this decision because it's not the best and all... but there's a reason behind it.
ReplyDeleteDay 3 Blog - I got up at 9 and sapped my spring clothes for my winter hoping this isn's a jinx on the nice weather. Then Mr. Coonan you will be proud I ran my 2 miles, did the 500 crunches I owe, pushups, and baseball work as well. Proud to not procrastinate all day with the workout. I had a strawberry banana soothie with apple juice as the base which was lucious. Never tried it before but glad I did. Going to a two year old birth day party this afternoon so I am going to eat before I go so I won't snack on the sure to goodies available (strategy alert, eat before going to a place with obvious junk food, I do it all the time when I go to Celtics games). I am done my 7 day cleanse diet, actually I did it for 9 days. I am going to maintain healthy eating but let bread, milk , and meat back into my diet. Tonight the UFC fights with some friends which is exciting. Hope everyone gets creative with there strategies to succeed with the project.
ReplyDeleteFOr those of you who did not read my last nights post I'll repost it now. For all of you who write 2 sentence blogs you will be getting half checks from now on because if I am capable of a comment like this without getting a grade you are more than capable so pick up your comments. As I told you it is like a diary entry and the reason I am writing comments like this is to give you examples of what I am looking for in a well written account of this tough challenge. Some of you need to use more restraint as well, it seems your giving in to easily to your bad habits you have formed over the years.

ReplyDeleteSo today i woke up a couple times before i official had my eyes open & was out of bed.. I woke up around 6am to wake up my mom so she could go to school to get the Musical tickets since she always gets them on the last day.. then i woke up again for no reason, slept, & that happened about 5 times.. Thenn i WOKE UP
Day3 Blog3: today's breakfast was extremly gross I tried a pilsbury toaster struddel it was the absolute definition of disgusting.
ReplyDeleteToday was a good day.. i havent bit my nails the whole day! well so far. but i have been eating alot more. i'm trying to find a nail polish that doesnt make my nails sting. well peace in the east.. (:
ReplyDeleteI think I've been doing a pretty good job. I completely took all of the nail polish off of one of my hands. But that's what I did instead of biting them! So that's good I guess. Haha. The other hand still has nail polish on it. I'm going to try to keep it on. Okay that's about it for today!

I have issues losing arguments, so this is killing me. it just involves swallowing self pride. crazy. i know. but im sure it will get better! and mr p. ReplyDeleteDay4 Blog4; today i had eggs and yogurt for breakfast, then had a baseball game at 12, so tht kept me busy for the majority of the day. when i came home i watched the bruins who by the way won again (:
ReplyDeletethen i had a late lunch/ early dinner which was pretty big. but i had no unhealthy snacks or junk food today!
Day4... so last night i couldn't get onto the computer so i wrote my blog in my note book. Today was a pretty good day i didn't swear once today.I enjoyed time with my family and didn't get annoyed by people, which made things easier.

ReplyDeleteToday i went out with the family and i kinda over ate but i got a ton of exercise, i also managed to get some fruits and veggies in there and i worked out for about an hour. So far i'm doing well.
By the way i did my blog for friday on paper because i wasn't home all day so i hope thats okay!

ReplyDeleteOkay so today I didn't even get a chance to be lazy! I had to wake up at 6 and arrive at the Gudwara at 7. Then I got on the bus headed to NY for the Sikh Day Parade(Vaisakhi). The drive took 4 hours and we stayed there for hours. We finally started heading to the Gudwara at 4. I just got home and now I want to sleep. Hopefully I won't have to do anything tommorow!
Day 4: Today i woke up really early again. i think im getting the habit of waking up early now. andd tomorrow i actually have to get up early, so it shouldnt be too difficult. good night!
ReplyDeleteHope everyone had a great day. Remember it is not easy to give up a habit but it always feels good to accomplish a goal. Work hard, I will post a Sunday post tomorrow in the morning.
ReplyDeleteDay 4: Today i only spent about 45 minutes on the computer. The ways i avoided it was by working on a service project for boy scout till three o'clock. After i was done with that i help my mom with work around the house and i also cleaned my room a lot because i "found" the top of my dresser and my couch. and then i went out for supper, so i didn't really have much free time.

ReplyDeleteWell I didn't eat any healthier but I had a real lunch (Burgers and chips). Plus I managed to not botch my breakfast and had waffles. I snacked on granola bars all day. Otherwise, nothing healthy, so I guess I'll try again tomorrow (it should be easier because mom finally went grocery shopping. I have options now!) I don't think there's anything else. Adios.

ReplyDeleteToday my attempts to eradicate my habit or eating out of bOredom were, overall, to no avail. I guess most of today was a success (from 5:00 AM - 6:00 PM), but after that, it all went down hill. Today was was able to keep myself entertained by going to swim practice, playing Call of Duty, finishing some book, doing homework, and then serving Mass. However, after Mass, I went over to Harrison M.'s house to watch the second episode of season six of Dr. Who. It was a whoel lot of fun, but we had pizza for dinner and that was extremely filling. Still, my mom had made brownies for the Dr. Who party and, seeing that we got to Harrison's house far in advance, we were able to watch the first episode of ths season which we had watched last week; thus, I already knew what was going to happen, so I reverted to eating the brownies ever though I was full. I should have brought some gum to chew so I wouldn't have eaten as much. Still, I guess I'Ve learned one place where I'm likely to follow my habit: friends houses. Hopefully, I'll be ready to counter it next week and in the many times to come...
Day 4: Today i didn't do a good job waking up. I woke up at 12:00 but its the weekend. For my workout i had a softball game and i did the best i could. I was really good with my candy but then my grandparents gave me candy. i need to tell them that i can't have candy.

I didn't run and i didn't have candy either. I didn't run cause of the dance. I didn't wake up early either. I woke up at 7:41 and didn't get out of bed til' 7:50 and i have to leave the house at 8. my mom got mad but i have to try harder. my workout i would say is the dance because dancing is a sport and it seemed like a good workout.
just got home.i was in Lancaster since 8 thirty this morning.again imma a total failure.

ReplyDeleteSo today went realy well. I didn't have any junk food. I didn't get outside as much as i wanted to on the chart but i was working on a wall in my house that we had to insulate, so I wasn't waching TV or on the computer too much.
The Woo Cardnal make sure your eating enough you swim so many times a week... if you really are hungry not just bored than eat something i gave up junk food but if im hungary ill still eat a granola bar or an apple

ReplyDeleteBetter day, not as much computer. Woke up 10:30, got 10 hours of sleep. 11-12, Karate. 3-10, aunts birthday party. Well that is time that I could've been on the computer, so todays going good. I think my time here is doing well.

ReplyDeletetoday I didn't eat much again, but when I did eat I ate a lot. I had eggs,pasta salad, 3 carrots, then Chinese food. wish i didn't have Chinese food but it was late and it was all we had.

ReplyDeleteToday I was at Greg's house all day. We played basketball, ps3, and watched some TV. I was entertained the whole time during the day. When we went for a drive, I got somewhat bored and started subconsciously biting my nails. Once I realized it, I stopped. I guess what's been working to stop myslef from biting my nails is entertainment. If I don't get bored, then i don't bite my nails. I'll have to find ways that I can stay completely entertained throughout the entire school day on Monday. Weekends seem easier to do. Monday will be the true test of will power. Good luck Everyone. We can all do this if we work past ourselves.
Sorry so late I just got back from the red sox game! I did good today I didn't misplace anything even though I had like 5 bags but I put them back in the right spots so Yay me!! :) Sorry so late mr.p i hope i did this before it struck 12!! I did good only couldn't find my sliding pad today but after softball I put it in the right place!!

ReplyDeletei totally messed up today. ihad like 5 cookies and stuff at my bros event. i told myself i could cheat and have some snacks. but that was time i could have spent cheering my brother on. im so mad at myself i should have realizes snacking at home and anywhere else is just tne same. hope i can rebound from this setbback and get back on track 2morrow
Day 4 (April 30) Blog 4: Well I wasn't late for school today! I also did nothing stupid that didn't need to be done. Everything I had to do got done today, so yeah! I feel pretty good since I've been getting a lot of sleep, so so far it is a success.
