I have been teaching at SPCC since 2004. I love interacting with students everyday and working with my peers. I also love playing and coaching basketball, playing baseball, and golfing. I love being spontaneous and riding the wave of life where it takes me. I am also very proud to have the best wife, duaghter, and a brand new edition on the way in September. My parents are a driving force in who I have become and throughout my life I have had the best friends around me who love me for who I am. God has guided me in many ways that have turned into miracles.

Day 6 Blog - Monday night/Tuesday Morning

  1. Day6 Blog6: I was on the run this mornimng I woke up at 8:00 in the morning because i forget to set my alarm. Anyways that did not stop me from having a good breakfast I had Ego waffels with some blueberry juice. If anyone has suggestions for breakfast on the go I'm all ears.

  2. Day 6 blog 6: I woke up at my normal time today. I would have got to school early, but I decided today what highschool I wanted to go to, so that took some time. I've been eating only half portions of oatmeal because it doesn't taste very good and I also eat some yogurt. Tomorrow I'm sure I will do better.

  3. Harrison, you can have a granola bar and fruit for breakfast. Yogurt probably wouldn't be bead either. Anything that you can carry around

  4. Thanks Lucas thats a good idea. I will try your idea tomarrow morning thanks for the tip. Lucas if you want to find a way to fill up some time in the morning try making your own breakfast like waffels, pancakes, omletes, or anything eles you might find time consuming. Also, work out challenge completed Mr Phillips

  6. Lucas what high school did you decide? Harrison so many options for breakfast on the go. Lucas had three good ideas. All natural smoothies, granola, dried fruit are also good ideas. Nice work with the challenge Harrison, I have to get on it later tonight.

    stocks.
    dont ask. but i made a sarcastic reply and she decided to ignore me. fail. So i guess i found a reason why i do it. maybe that will help in the future! or maybe not. ill find out soon. and go yankees! ;)

Harrison you can have a waffle with butter on it and sprinkle sugar on it. and drink a glass of fruit juice or the special k vanilla almond cereal:IT TASTES AMAZING!!!!!!!!!! any way ill post more l8tr but i decided i will stop my habit practice(only on thursday and friday 4 the musical)then i will resume.so yes.ill speak more later =) <3

  11. Harrison, you could have this thing called Carnation Instant Breakfast Essentials. It has 2x the protein of an egg, 2x the calcium of yogurt, Anti-Oxidants, and B Vitamins! It tastes like chocolate milk! you can get it at B.J.'s Wholesale Club or Price Chopper!

  13. Day 6
    Today was good. My room is clean and has been clean since the beginning of the project. It feels really good having a nice clean organized room. My room is small so it gets messy very fast. This project has been great and is really teaching me that it is very important to be organized. It has made me want to clean my locker in school, and everywhere else that will help me to be more organized. Even though it takes time and energy to get organized, it definitlty pays off. My room before the project was always messy and annoying to be in. My parents were always mad at me for it. They have noticed that my room has been more organized and are happy that I decided to get rid of having a messy room.
    I hope that this blog was long enough and had enough details. It is deffinitly longer than all my other posts and hopefully i wont get in trouble tommarrow for not having a complete blog or something like that. So i hope you are happy Mr. Phillips.-___- I will tey to write another looonnnggg one tommarrow.

  14. Journal Entry 6: Today I only played about 45 minutes of Video Games. I think I played more because I wasn't able to go on the treadmill, the computer, or the T.V. Overall I definitely feel different when I began this project!

  15. Day 6... I just studied for ss hopefully I fo good on that! For the attitude part today was prob the worst day bc I went jewerly shopping and every thing I likes my mom didn't it was aweful hopefully tommorrow is better!!

  17. James good work on the room my friend. It is nice to be organized but learning the tools to stay organized is even more important. The comment is amazing as well. I am happy pal thanks for listening. Just ran 2 miles myself so I guess I get 2 bonus points. Had homemade tacos with turkey burger meat for dinner and a strawberry banana smoothie. God bless America is playing and the Red Sox are on so I am going to be live for a while.

    Side note I have seen the Double Dreams Hands commercial three times today. Unreal how you see something once for the first time and then its all over the place. Nice start Bruins.

Day6 blog6: i got home today from school was really hungry. idk why i ate most of my lunch today, nut still wanted food. thts weird because at lunch i wasnt even hungry but it was time to eat so i did. so when i got home i ate some graham crakers. i just home from baseball practice and imma eat supper in like 5 min.

  25. Day 6: alright, I attempted to bite my nails a couple times today but the weird nail polish I put on them tasted GROSS! that reminded me not to bite them. I bet if I didn't have that I wouldn't have realized I was biting them. So I think that's working. It seems like I bite nails on my right hand more than my left hand.. Don't know why! I think I'm going to have to work on that. Hahaha. I'm also worried about biting my nails tomorrow during the dress rehearsal because I usually bite my nails during movies and things like that. Well we'll see how it goes..
    By the way, Mr. Phillips, I keep seeing the double dream hands commercial too! You should make learning the dance one of the workout challenges, even though it's not that much of a workout. Hahaha!

  27. It could be a great workout Aoife; if you listen to him he tells you to, "rock it out." Instead of "rocking it out" half the time we could rock it out the whole time. By the way that is definitely going to be part of a workout bonus challenge. Good thinking.

  28. so i atecandy 2day but not that much so im still pretty proud of myself...um i ate yoplait light.had a very healthy lunch of trail mix, chobani(peach) and quaker chips. for breakfast i has an orange and yogurt(more yoplait!!!) i did do the challenge but my mom and i went jogging instead, um im adding excersize 2 my thingy.any way doing great!!!!!!

    I had a lot of healthy food today and I was energized and hyper. I started with cereal with bananas in it. lunch was just a turkey sandwich. when I got home I worked out for 2 hours then played basketball for an hour. the only reason y I stop was because the may flies in Leicester like to swarm and it gets annoying. for dinner I cook burgers for Ern and my dad but I had salad instead and it was good. for snacks I had 2 carrots, an apple, 3 bananas, a strawberry yogurt, and 2 granola bars.

  30. Today was a very good day in school i was very annoingly happy and hyper...i just got my shoes and jewerly for the musical and my mom and i argued a bit but not much....she ended up getting me the same shoes lexi has for school without my permision...sorry lexi...<3 kayla

    Today I did pretty good I went right from school to Sammys game then to my game so I had a lot of bags and when I got home I went straight upstairs and out my changing bag and tote bag back where they belonged and I had put my clothes back too to top it of... Yay I think I did pretty good today but I can always do better I forgot where I put my sweatshirt but oh well I know I can do better tomorrow! Good luck everybody at dress rehearsal!! :)

  32. Day 6: Today I only spent about 30 minutes on the computer because I spent a bunch of time outside splitting wood and I also spent some time in my dad's barn trying to figure out how to fix a flower box for my mom.

  33. So this is actually my third day in a row without eating any tic-tacs at all! I'm actually proud cause I never thought i could actually do it. Well I find that it is easier to not think about them when I am occupied with something like baseball or something athletic like that where I don't really have time to think about anything else for too long. Well hopefully I can keep this up the rest of the time without giving in to my addiction.

  35. Day 6 Blog 6:
    Today we had a lovely dinner of summer squash, potatoes, fish, and home made roles made by the one and only Mama Etre. It was soo good. After I had finished my meal, I looked at the fish and it basically was saying "eat me!" Then I thought about how many people in the world don't have food and I decided that not having another portion of fish would not kill me. I feel good about my decision but I still think I could have done better because I loaded up on the poatoes!! but they were sooo goooood... Good luck at the dress rehersal tomorrow everyone!!

    Today was a good day. I got home and played some ball and ran. Got home, ate some pasta. Instead of me eating unhealthy snacks I had some yogurt and bananas. It was pretty tasty.. These pushups and calve raises are really starting to kill me.. but I'm just fighting through it....
    P.S.. Bulls will win the NBA Championships.

    I think I did pretty good today. I was out shopping most of the time, but when I got home I kept myself occupied and I didn't use the computer or watch TV at ALL! I think I'll do the fitness challenge tommorow it'll give me something to do.

    Today i also had the same meal as michaela, being that i live with her. It was quite scrumptious, but there was a lot of food. my habit isn't so much that i have a whole second helping of food, but i take tiny peices that eventually add up. i was filled up quickly tonight and didn't have thoughts of going for more. But i've noticed that when i kinda want to pick at the food, i drink some more delicioouse lactaid milk which prevents me from eating more.

  40. Day 6 Blog 6: I had baseball today. I got wicked mad because I still havent gotten a hit. They always get me on the 0-2 curve. Oh and my coach praticed me at second yesterday and I played at third today. What is that? Whatever. So ya... I swore. ALOT. Today doesnt count :p I wish. DOes the challege count since I had baseball and ran alot?

  41. Day 6 : So the idea to make up words to replace swears was successful. Today was just really annoying , people cant just for forget about drama. I felt like I was watching a soap opra,I wanted to swear at people but I was able to control my anger.
    I feel like in order for me to control my swearing, I will need to control my anger and have more patience.

  42. Ok Well i wrote this 3 times already but my computer is being stupid & kept refreshing so EVERYTHINNG! i wrote erased itself & i broke Rachel Danson's habit because the computer was annoying me.. Anywayssss

    Today i woke up late & ending coming late to school to.. It was mostly because i went to sleep late the night before... But tomorrow I WILL, I AM, & IM GONNA Wake up early tomorrow ! Since i have to do my hair (Which takes FOREVERR to curl) & my make up for the Dress Rehersal.. So thats my modivation for waking up ON TIME/Early tomorrow..

    & Mr. Phillup 'Double Dream Hands' guy has a New video called "Double Dream Feet" Soo you should watch it, But in my opinion i enjoyed the dream hands better

  43. Today was a relatively good day for me, TheWooCardinal, as I didn't eat a whole lot out of boredom. I had swim practice which prolonged my non-boredness to about 7:00 but after that I had to do homework!!! I know. We haven't had homework in forever. Anyways, we didn't have much homework, so I was able to finish quickly and got to play Call of Duty and read some of the Lost Hero (I got halfway through about half a year ago and haven't readit since then so I had really no clue what was happening. I just wanted to get through it as my madre wants me to read more and I have gotten somewhat bored of video games). However, Monday nights are weird as I don't eat dinner with the rest of my family because my brother has fencing from 7:00 - 8:30. Therefore, my dad and brodre eat a separate dinner later on at night usually with my mom. Therefore, if I'm bored, it can be tempting to eat some of the leftovers of their dinners. That tonight, wasn't much of a problem as I didn't relalize they were home as I crank my xbox surround sound headset up excessively so they I'll be able to heard were people are so they can't sneak up on me. Anyways, when I finally went up stairs, I found them already done with dinner, but it was so tempting (not really, I was just bored), that I ate some yogurt. Then, my dad, dogs, and I went on that minute walk (today's challenge) to keep me from eating anymore (that wasn't the main goal, but it functioned as one). Anyways, here I sit typing this. I think I'll go brush my teeth now as those Triscuits downstairs (I LOVE Triscuits) are very tempting ... Well, I'll see you, friends and fellow Woo members, tomorrow at school.   44. no matt, being a baseball player myself I know it is a little different playing a game at third and running for 10 minutes. Keep in there with your attitude on th diamond, showing negative emotion is seen by everyone and will not help you get a hit or get better. Perfect practice is what you need, look what it did for you on the bball court for 4 years. Rachel good job keep up the positive attitude where ever you go in life there will probably be people who annoy you, but swearing at them will get you know where. Try to focus on the positive things around you, they are there too, just look harder. (Multiple strategy alerts there)

    I ate candy cuase my grandparents gave some to me but i told them that i can't have candy so their not going to give me candy anymore. i was organized with my school work and with my softball gear. i woke up today at 7:30 so thats good. now tomorrow i'm going to wake up at 7:26. i had a good work out at the softball game. i had lot of fun!<3

    Well Today was an ok day. I did bite my nails around 2 times today. The first being when I got bored in my car going into school. The second being during musical practice. I didn't bite from 3rd period to around five when I got home. This was because during art I got paint on my hands. during last period (language arts) Shawn and i washed paintbrushes and paint cups. There was a lot of paint and it made our hands disgusting (if you didn't see them)Tomorrows going to be hard not to bite them because I could get bored or just sententiously do it because I'm not moving. Hopefully I will do a lot better than I'm expecting

Day 6: this morning i didn't really wake up that early. i think it was because i knew we had school and i just didn't feel like waking up for that. i woke up earlier than i usually do but not as early as i have been. and i also went to bed lateish so could also be why i didnt wake up as early.

  51. day 6: (I'm just gonna write the day from now on so I don't mess something up -___-) So today for breakfast I had scrambled eggs and bacon.. I feel so much better and to me it seems as if I don't feel sick all the time like I used to. But of course that was from not eating breakfast. Anyways, I made my breakfast into a smiley face :D I just thought I'd share that in my blog/log because I know how much everyone cares about that. Okay, well.. time to get ready for schoooolll.. kbye!

  52. I did not have any sncks today and it's becoming easier and easier each day.I had soccer practice so if I did eat any snacks I probably would have got sick at practice. I found that what make this project easier is that I feel I must eat healthier for the sake of my soccer teams.so as long as I stay focused on that the project will be easier

    So I had a lot of pasta/rice etc. today, which my mom hates but I'm officially not eating ramen. I haven't actually been eating any pho tho so I should probably start eating that again. Not fruits today, but I had a good breakfast and that helped a little. Other than that not much has changed since yesterday.
    I'm so sorry, I just found this typed out ready to be posted (I even filled out the code that checks if you're a robot) but um...I guess I never pushed the button. I just checked and I don't think I posted yesterday.
