I have been teaching at SPCC since 2004. I love interacting with students everyday and working with my peers. I also love playing and coaching basketball, playing baseball, and golfing. I love being spontaneous and riding the wave of life where it takes me. I am also very proud to have the best wife, duaghter, and a brand new edition on the way in September. My parents are a driving force in who I have become and throughout my life I have had the best friends around me who love me for who I am. God has guided me in many ways that have turned into miracles.

Day 3 - Friday Night

  3. Today I didn't bite my nails! Not even my thumbs, the nails i decided i was going to bite if I had to. Mr. Phillips said I was weak because I'm still biting them :( but I think it's actually working! I'm determined not to have weird-looking nails. Hahaha. I think I bite my nails either when I'm nervous or I'm doing something else and I don't even realize I'm doing it. There weren't really chances for me to bite them today. Hopefully I can not bite them the rest of the night

  4. Day 3 (April 29) Blog 3: I got to school late again, but it wasn't my fault! My mom took forever to get ready and ended up making me late for school. If I had left when I was ready, I would have been to school on time, so I think that today was a success. I focussed in the morning and I ate oatmeal! Yay. Have fun blogging everyone. Also, I don't know what to talk about on the weekends because my habit is mainly going to school late, but I guess I can blog about how I feel...

  5. i think my body's getting used to smaller healthier portions b/c 2day i ate pizza 4 the first time in like 3 weeks. now i i feel i need 2 throw up...i need 2 throw-up wen i get nerves but that goes away.i have really bad digestion and my tummy would probably be grumbling but its not.my digestion has improved in like only 3 days so that's a plus =) <3 =) <3 p.s. have a good weekend everyone

    Got home and played some ball with friends. Wasnt tempted for any junk food and it's really paying off. Just about to leave for that dance.

    Because I'm going to the dance tonight which is going to count as my exercise which I'm using to replace the time I would be using to play video games! Everyone have a good weekend and try to do good on your blogs! :) :)

But anyway i had soccer.[mad skills]so that took up most of my time.And i felt tired[or maybe it my mood again- ive havent been super happy lately] so i didnt feel like talking. But this is the point. i cant rely on luck. i know you are all at the dance but i need some suggestions? any??????? and have a good weekend!

  14. Count to 5 before you speak if you feel angry. Make sure you give yourself time to think before you speak thats all. Your a smart kid so if you think it through first you can find good things to say. The science fair is May 18th.

  20. Day 3 Blog 3:
    So today I came home from a VERY intense ballet class and I was quite ravenous. Lucky for me, I was having dinner with my Memere and Pepere. We were having steak with pasta with spinach, tomatoes, and peppers (my favorite!)And I confess, (no lying today Mr.phillips!) that I did have a wee second serving of the pasta... but it was just sooo scrumptious!! I'm failing with this project!I promise i will do better tomorrow though. Have a good weekend my friends :)

    I also had a yummy dinner tonight but i did NOT have seconds like sooome people (michaela cough cough). it will be harder this weekend though because i will be eating at other places rather than my house such as resturants, and they always have quite large serving sizes. but lets stay strong people and avoid these habits!

  23. Blog Entry 3 (April 29):
    Today was a semi-success for TheWooCardinal. After returning home from swim practice, he was able to keep himself busy and not so bored by playing some Call of Duty; thus, he didn't eat anything until dinner. However, after dinner, he was quite bored of quickscoping and getting frustrated so often that he would yell at the game/tv, that he ended up eating the head of a chocolate bunny even though he will already stuffed. Still, after this indulgence, TheWooCardinal was somehow able to occupy himself by reading even though he HATES reading. Still, he hasn't stuffed hImself with any other food, but this may be due to the fact that he has to wake up early to swim tomorrow and doesn't want to feel like a sLug in the pool...Anyways, today was an okay day. Let's hope tomorrow yields better results.

  24. so my day was again a waste of time and energy.i went out to practice 4 a play in Lancaster and i ended up eating dinner at taco bell b/c we were out from 4 and got home at 9:50. didn't spend a lot of time on the internet..well i was on Pandora online radio for like 30 minutes b/c i was kinda fixing my room.i dont know if that counts. so yah i got home and ate all natural regular(DISGUSTING) greek yogurt b/c it helps ur digestion and stuff helps ur body manage fat or something like that.so i ate alot of sodium and carbohydrates and sugars(in the soda) so im a failure...again. does ANYONE!!!! have any suggestions as to how to this (failing) diet/habit thing.PLEASE ANYONE !!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! goodnite everybody.

    I didn't have much today. I had cereal for breakfast. For lunch I had peanut butter and jelly sandwich. for dinner I had half a steak and cheese then half a chicken sub. I had no snacks. I'm bout to work out for an hour. I don't know what after that though.

  27. Today i didn't bite my nails at all. This is probally because we had musical practice all day. Its good that that i haven't been biting, but im afraid that once we get back to class i will start again. Im going to try taping my fingers on Monday. If that doesn't work, then I'm going to try putting nail polish remover on so they taste bad. I could always use some sugestions so if none of my straegies work, i will have something else to try.

  28. Day 3 Blog for Mr. Phillips - I got home and was exhausted from the week that was and did absolutely nothing until 6 O'clock. No motivation to move I decided whether to go out with some friends or stay home. I knew if I went out to a restaurant it would be hard to maintain the healthy eating for most foods at restaurants are cooked with unhealthy stuff. So I got up and ran 2 miles in record time (12 min 46 sec) to ponder my Friday nights activities. I then made the decision to stay in and relax and made some mahi mahi on the grill with green beans and 2 baked potatoes. I had a marvelous smoothie and Amy had gross plain Greek yogurt however my wife chopped up almonds and put honey in it and it tasted terrific (suggestion alert). I then did something I am pretty sure the few I mentioned it to forgot about. 500 crunches baby wooooooooooo. I am claiming victory already with this bet but I will do 500 tomorrow and Sunday as well to seal the deal.
    For all of you who write 2 sentence blogs you will be getting half checks from now on because if I am capable of a comment like this without getting a grade you are more than capable so pick up your comments. As I told you it is like a diary entry and the reason I am writing comments like this is to give you examples of what I am looking for in a well written account of this tough challenge. Some of you need to use more restraint as well, it seems your giving in to easily to your bad habits you have formed over the years.

  29. So we had the dance tonight and i thought it would be wicked hard to go the 3 hours without tic-tacs cause that's when I eat them the most. But surprisingly I didn't eat any at all and all I had to do was put a piece of gum in my mouth and I was fine. Well that's is an interesting discovery ha-ha. well goodnight I'm going to bed. Peace

    I fail at eating healthy. I had chocolate pie for breakfast (celebrating the royal wedding of course), chips for lunch, pie after school, and chips and twix at the dance. I don't wanna eat this late but I'm starving so maybe an orange or something. Hopefully I'll do better tomorrow.

  32. Day 3: This morning i actually woke up really early! but then i kinda fell a sleep again, but i was able to wake up again really easily. it's going to be reallyy hard to go to sleep tonight and then wake up early. hahaha. but i think its just going to be really hard this weekend.

    Sorry so late but today I misplaced my tote bag but thats okay cause I found it and put where it should go... so its all good :)! And I put my sweatshirt back where I remembered it would be so today was an okay day hopefully i will do better tomorrow :)

    Okay so today was a MAJOR fail. I complete forgot about the project!! I had to go to the Gudwara right after I got home because we bought a new car and we were going to have a mass to bless it. Weird Sikh thing but it actually works. When I got home after that, I completely fell asleep and woke up like 2-3 hours later, which was 9-10ish(dinner time). And now I have to go to sleep because I have to get up early tomorrow. Good Night! P.S. I hope this post was long enough for you Mr. Phillips!!!

    well sleepin before 12 is not really working... im still awake as u can see, but i guess its because it was a friday night and i had to get things ready so i can go to New York tomorrow morning....but the bad thing is that i wont have enough sleep because i have to wake up at 6.... so im not really sure on how this is going to work!!!!

    So today instead of tring to stop 3 habits im just gonna stick with Tryin to wake up when im suppose too. So today i woke up when suppose to, only cause it was the day of the Royal Wedding & i didnt wanna miss it... My dad knew i wanted to see it & he was already down stairs watching the wedding & of course i was sleeping but as soon as Kate was in the car heading to the church he called me & i quickly woke up & went down stairs... Sooo SUCCESS ! Yay, im proud of myself :D

    didnt bite my nails today at all, but i lost my silly-putty so that alternitive.... the holy name dance is tonite and ill be there and hopefuly ill be 2 preocupied to bite my nails
    Day 4
    TODAY IS MY B DAY!!!!!!!!!!! and i got the best birthday present.... a new fone and its an android fone so i get all these awsome apps! and im using my fingers and i dont bite my nails..... this is soooo better than silly putty!..... now i have to think of something that will keep my hands occupied durring school.... back to square 1
    Day 5
    so far my fone tactic is working!! i have a ton of games! but my mom isnt happy because im on my fone all the time :(
    Day 6
    first scholl day in may! today DRAGED without my silly-putty to play with. almost chewed on my nails but i, again, stopped myself. SILLY-PUTTY where are you?!?!?!
