I have been teaching at SPCC since 2004. I love interacting with students everyday and working with my peers. I also love playing and coaching basketball, playing baseball, and golfing. I love being spontaneous and riding the wave of life where it takes me. I am also very proud to have the best wife, duaghter, and a brand new edition on the way in September. My parents are a driving force in who I have become and throughout my life I have had the best friends around me who love me for who I am. God has guided me in many ways that have turned into miracles.

Sunday Post

Happy Sunday everyone!!!  Hope your weekend is going great.  Finish up strong with your habits today.  Busy week ahead as we all pull together the final details with the musical.  I should be on from 3:30pm to 6:00 as I watch game 1 of the Celtics Heat series so if you have any questions feel free to ask.  Enjoy the day!!!

  2. day 4 log 4: Today for breakfast I had a bowl of fruit (like I had been having before) and a piece of toast. Lately, I haven't been getting any stomach which is obviously good. I really want some waffles thoughhh.. So I'm gonna ask my dad to make some waffles tomorrow morning before school :D

  3. Day five blog five- Today I didn't say "um" at all. It is getting so much easier as we go through the days. I am continuing to use my strategy of thinking of what im going to say or just pausing before I say something so that i don't have the urge to say "um"!

    So today i woke up when i was told... Well not really cause none told me too since im at my friends house, but when i woke up i didnt go back to sleep again sooooo i guess thats good.

  5. today i went to brunch with the girls from my dads side of the family. then went shopping at blackstone and got stuff(: probably gonna hangout with danny later..soo i had a good day not being lazy!:)

Ive also decided that im trying not 2 eat past 7:30, so today went good.Mr.phillips, the honey and almond thing in the yogurt was great.went 2 the loving hut and had vegan 'orange chicken' and vegan 'salmon'. ate alot of vegetables...i threw away my stash of candy so i didnt cheat..ummmm i only watched 1 1/2 of t.v. 2day but thats only b/c i went jogging and shopping.yyyaayyy the frist day i did it all right

  7. Okay so I've had 5 baseball games this weekend and I have actually avoided any contact with tic-tacs for the last 2 days which is practically a new record for me so I'm just going to try to keep up the good work!

  8. Good for you Amy, sounds like your doing well with the habit making some good tough decisions.
    This for me has been an extremely lazy Sunday. Really haven't done anything productive. I am going to eat some dinner and work out later tonight. Got to find that motivation, so if anyone has some words of wisdom to get me going I would appreciate it.

Day 5 : when I first woke up I had a little attitude but not much then I went to someones baseball game (: then had lunch and went back to burkett at 12 and practiced pitching with my dad then at 1 I went to the spm baseball game! After that I went home watched celtics till dinner was done then when to another softball game so I had a really busy game no time for attitide in my schedule

  11. today was too easy.it was my sisters first communion, and my family had a party. so mainly i hung around with my cousins. I didnt even think about it today. good? bad? i dont know.fun day anyhow! its gonna be the same next sunday it is my cousins 1st communion! thats gonna be easy!oh well dissapointing loss for the celts, and my abs hurt. but thanks mr. p im picking up the exercising again!not my habit tring to break but useful! thanks! gbye!

  13. and amy, u r starting to scare me with this vegan thing. u know u have to have some meat it gives u important nutrients.
    my mom wanted to go total vegitarian but my grandfather forced her to at least eat REAL fish. she still does now. as for me, i would never TOUCH the vegan stuff. so yep, jst sayin

  14. Day 5/Blog 5:
    My dad made yummy pizza for dinner and i had 2 pieces. This weekend wasn't as hard as i thought to not have a lot of food at dinner and its actually harder during the week. Because i have so many activities during the week, im extra hungry, resulting in me eating more.

Your doing a great job neka!!!Today was an awful day....i went to bed realy late last night...it might have been really early this morning(we had a bonfire at my grammas house and there was alot of my friends there so i was up late.)i was very very grumpy today and there was a aeriuos family emergency so that made my mood worse.on a scale og 1-10 on how bad my attitude was today i would say about a 7..things are getting better as the night goes by..i hope tomarrow will be better.....godnight <3Kayla

  18. My papa made delectable pizza that was extremely delicious!! I did very well because I only had two pieces plus some salad and I feel very satisfied. I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! See you tomorrow :)

  20. Day 5: Today i only about about 30 minutes because I did a bunch of stuff like helping my mom re organize my pantry and i had to help work at my church's sharing supper for the first communion kids.

  21. Day 5: So today I made up words that weren't swears but let me express my anger. It worked out pretty well, so I am going to try them tomorrow and I am sure that I will have some difficulty because I get more annoyed in school then at me house.I hope i can at least have some progress.

  22. Today when I got home from softball I had left my softball stuff in my dads truck so i couldn't find it for a little while...but its okay i found my bag and i put my glove back after i was done playing catch i put it in the right spot :) thats all for today see everyone at school tomorrow!

  23. day 5 blog5: today was prob my worst day of this priject): i was out pretty much the whole day so my options were limited. i hAD TO WAKE UP EARLY almost too early for the weekend: 7:15 for my 9 oclock baseball game. enough though the game was like 5 minutes from my house i like to be prepared! so anyways it was a double header, and inbetween games we ate lunch. for lunch i had a ham and and cheese sandwich,pringles, and some fruit snacks. there were also cookies but i held off. durring the gAMES i had a half a pack of sunflower seeds(idk if tht counts for anything but just saying). then half way between the second game i had to leave to play a third game. between all 3 games i think i had 4 bottles of gatorade so i was definatly hydrorated ( unlike Zdeno Chara for u bruin fans lol). after all of the games were done and i finally got home i was realy hungry and we had pizza for supper. ik its not tht healthy but it was there and then it wasnt it like 5 min. well since then i didnt eat anything- but everyone keep it up i have to try harder!bye

    Today I think I did OK. I got my first bit of free time in days at 7. I did a lot in the morning, but I was on the computer for two hours in the afternoon. I don't think I was too lazy, but I know I can do better.

    I got up at 12:46 and didn't get out of bed til' 1 but like i said its the weekend going to bed early tonight because got to get up early tomorrow. I had one row of peeps and a small piece of milky way and that is it for candy. I had a good workout. i practice down at the park fielding and hitting for softball. So over all it was a good day!

  29. Day 5 Log 5: I did everything that I knew was supposed to be done today. I've been feeling better since I've been getting more sleep during the week (I usually only get a lot of sleep on the weekends), so I'm happy. I already seem to be getting things done much faster and much better.

  30. Journal Entry 5: Today I played a half hour of video games! It was easier for me to play less because I went to the Natick Mall with my uncle, aunt, and sister. I also got a lot of exercise while walking around constantly for 2 hours straight! See everyone tomorrow!!! :) :) :)

  31. Nice work Loockiss. It is crazy how good you feel and how much energy you have when you get the right amount of sleep. Your productivity levels go way up. Wish I went to bed earlier last night but had a bunch of friends over and the UFC fights do not end until late so I really had no choice. Celtics did not look good today but it should be a long series so hopefully they can bounce back. Seems like a lot of you had real busy Sundays which is good to hear. Get some sleep so you can be ready to sing like the Aretha tomorrow.

  32. Blog Entry 5 (May 1):
    I spent practically my whole day at a swim meet in Beverly. The meet was supposed to relatively short (2 hours), but it ended up being a four hour meet not including warm up/warm down and getting dressed. Although we had a lot of downtime, I was never really bored as my friends and I talked a lot and played some games on one of my friend's iPods such as Geometry Wars. Therefore, it was easy for me not to eat anything out of bordem. Even if I had been bored, there were no consession stands there meaning I couldn't buy any food. All I had was the powerbars and gatorade which I had brought and I didn't want to eat I all at once as it would need to sustain me throughout to entire meet. Although I didn't do very well at the meet today, it is okay as I had fun and saw friends I haven't seen in a while (the team I practice with is a branch of a larger team meaning the whole team doesn't practice together every day). Overall, today was a good day besides the fact that we went to Wendy's for dinner and I don't necessarily like fast food (like the taste, but not the nutritional facts...). Let's hope everyone had a good day today and I'll see you all in school tomorrow!

    today I ate a lot of junk food. I had 5 donuts, mac and cheese, Chinese food, and a fried egg and cheese sandwich. i worked out for an hour and a half today. I can't believe how many donuts i had now that i think about it. Haha that's kinda gross.

    well i had a god day i guess. i def bounced back from yesterday and i didnt eat anything between meals. mostly bcuz i was moving around the whole day. first i had to go to boston, and then to weymouth. it took like 2 hours for me to get home. so i didnt really have time to do anything today hahaha. but yeah im starting to find im not that hungry between meals anymore. maybe before i just had too much free time like mr phillips said. i was probably just occupiying time. but now i have time to do whateva i want. i mostly practice basketball now. got to keep preparing for st johns bball tryouts. but yeah today was a good day.

  38. Day 5: I was busy the whole day today, so I thought I wasn't biting my nails. But as it turns out, apparently I was, but I didn't even realize it! So I decided I needed something to remind me when I was biting my nails. Then I remembered I had that nail polish stuff (not sure what its called) that tastes disgusting when you try to bite your nails! so i tried putting that on a little while ago. i'm pretty sure its working! whenever i try putting my fingers anywhere near my mouth i get this gross taste! hahaha. this might work. :) okay, that's all for tonight!

  39. Day 5:
    I guess this was the most successful day so far. I woke up late so I had Five Guys for breakfast (best burgers ever), snacked occasionally on granola bars and banana, and had chicken, corn, potatoes for dinner. Much healthier than the past few days, but I wish I had had a real breakfast. This is four days in a row I've eaten french fries. I really don't think that's good for me. I also haven't had anything to drink accept diet coke. I use diet coke as my coffee in the mornings and I think I'm constantly drinking it. The easiest way I stop drinking soda is by replacing it with juice, but I've been lazy and haven't done so. Anyways, that's all for today.

  40. Day 5: Somehow today i woke up at 5 and i got up really easily. Hahaha i was really surprised cause i wasnt tired at all today either. hopefully i'll be able to get up that easily tomorrow.

  41. Today was a relatively good day. I did bite one nail though. My thumb. It happened while I got bored in my car and in the time when i was taking a break from doing flips. I just got to fill all my down time that i use to relax with things that are relaxing BUT active. When I'm active, I don't get the urge to bite. So all together, the day was good, BUT not what it should have been.

  42. Day 5 : Today was a great day, I was on the computer for a minimal ammount of time, now Im here typing this up on my ipod and then going to be. As of now, I think this project has cut down the ammount of time im in the computer. HOWEVER, i have been getting less sleep :( Night Shawn

    It was a hard day. I went to church and it was my friends birthday so he brought in cake. Everyone was eating it but me. So they decided to rub it in my face, i still didnt eat it though. Well im feeling great without junk food and going to do more workouts.

  44. hi. um this is for day 5 if i am allowed to do this...anyways...this weekend i learned that in order to go anywhere or do anything my room has to be cleaned and organized. So, this kind of forced me to keep my room cleaned. I just need to try and keep it this way. :)

  45. Ok sunday was good.. for breakfast i had a vegetable omelet... for lunch i had chinese food and fruits.. but later on i went to worcester state and i played soccer for four hours with my friends from Doherty. So it all worked out.
